Greetings from the NFBPA Greater Houston Chapter!
As the newly appointed President for the 2023-2024 term, I am both honored and excited to serve an organization as esteemed as the National Forum for Black Public Administrators Greater Houston Chapter. My name is Cherrelle J. Duncan, and it is with great enthusiasm that I step into this role, committed to furthering our chapter's mission of fostering the advancement of Black public administrators in our community.
In these dynamic times, the role of public administration has never been more critical. Our chapter stands at the forefront of this evolving landscape, and I am dedicated to ensuring that we continue to be a beacon of leadership, excellence, and innovation. My vision for our chapter includes enhancing our professional development programs, expanding our network, and building stronger partnerships within our community. This year, we will focus on empowering our members through enriched learning opportunities, engaging events, and meaningful dialogues that address the challenges and opportunities in public administration. We will strive to create an environment where our members can share their experiences, gain new insights, and develop the skills necessary to excel in their respective fields. Furthermore, as we navigate the complexities of public service in today’s world, I am committed to advocating for policies and practices that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our chapter will be a platform for voices that need to be heard, ensuring that our collective expertise contributes to the betterment of our communities. I encourage each one of you to get involved, whether it’s through participating in our events, volunteering, or contributing your unique perspectives to our discussions. Your active participation is the key to our chapter's success. Together, let's make the 2023-2024 term a period of growth, impact, and unity. I am looking forward to working alongside each of you as we continue to elevate the NFBPA Greater Houston Chapter to new heights. With gratitude and anticipation, Cherrelle J.
