The Houston Chapter boasts its membership of talented persons from all levels of government, non-profit, collegiate, and the private sector, offering an array of opportunities to strengthen professional capacity, capitalize on network connections, and provide services to the community and colleagues.  A plethora of opportunities are available to actively contribute in chapter leadership and support roles, including the following committees: 

Community Engagement

Corporate Council

The Corporate Advisory Council focuses on obtaining and maintaining financial and other contributions from private sector business members to support the work of the chapter. If you are interested in lending your time and talents to this team, please email us at president@nfbpahoustontx.org.

Emerging Leaders

The Emerging Leaders committee provides and develops mechanisms for college students to experience and gain knowledge about the internal operations of local government on the field of public administration. This committee is also tasked with  determining what NFBPA Houston Chapter wants and where it needs to be in the next 10 years; how our Strategic Plan implementation is commensurate with achieving those goals and how do we attract, recruit, retain and provide appropriate networking/opportunities for young, mid-level, and seasoned public managers. Finance

The Finance Committee provides financial oversight for the organization.
